Stepable plants are the type of plants that can stand foot traffic and they are a must for your outdoors, especially for the walkway area. They will add some texture and will beautify even the simplest walkway.
Such plans will of course need water and will require some low maintenance. The most important thing to consider is their sun/shade and water needs which will help them grow and spread well. And although there are many of them, there are some that are always found as top choices and today you will find out which are they. Let’s check them out!
Irish Moss
Irish moss has dense tufts of slender stems that grow together and form a lush green carpet. It is the perfect stepable for woodland areas, small slopes or around ponds and other water features. Small white flowers completely cover the Irish moss in spring, while in summer it does best when in full shade.
Creeping Thyme
Creeping thyme is also known as Mother of Thyme and it is an easily grown, spreading thyme variety. It is often planted as lawn substitute or between stepping stones to add some life over there.
