Also I have some tips that you have to consider when you design an organized and functional laundry room.
- If you have a front loading washer and dryer consider building a countertop or shelving right above them. This is typically unused space. You can store laundry and cleaning supplies, or laundry baskets and easily access them. You can also use it as a folding station or sweater drying spot.
- If your laundry room is too small, I recommend to optimize it as much as possible using little tricks like placing the dryer on top of the washer, and save some space for a narrow cabinet to store your stuff.
- The wall attached ironing board is an ideal option for laundry areas with less space. Having the iron box in the laundry room ensures that clothes leave the laundry room in wearable form.
- A drying rack is also a nice addition to a laundry room. It’s a great thing to put some clothes on it if they are still slightly damp after the dryer.
