If you are looking for a planter that is durable and budget-friendly and also displays the flowers in a creative way, then a cement cloth planter is the right choice for you. Cement cloth planters are easy to make and you are about to find out how to make some.
The materials needed for this type of planter are:
- water
- a towel
- a/3 bag of cement mix
- mixing stick for concrete
- 2 5-gallon buckets
First, combine the cement mix with as much water as needed, so that the cement should feel soupy and not runny. When you have made the mixture, dump a towel in the cementer and with the mixing stick move it around. The towel should be completely soaked in cement. And once it’s soaked, remove the towel and place it over the other 5-gallon bucket to dry.
This will take about 24-48 hours, and cement will drip into the other bucket. You should wait until is very stuff and sturdy and its color will actually change form dark gray to a lighter shade. Once it’s dried, remove the towel from the bucket and drill two holes in the bottom for water drainage. Flip it over and fill it with soil and flowers.
And voila! You have an amazing cement cloth planter!
