Tips to Grow Succulents Outdoors

One thing I have learned over and over is that not all succulents will survive the winter outdoors, but most of them won’t thrive inside either. This means that you need to choose the right plants that will thrive the best in your area! If you are growing them outdoors you will want to be very aware of how much sunlight they need. While most of them say ‘full sun’, they may not tolerate 100 degree with direct sun all day.

For areas that are very dry or hot or maybe both, adding more organic material will help them from drying out too quickly! But this is not the worst problem that your plants can face! No one wants to water plants every other day! Succulents are known about their drought tolerance, but they do still need water! If you notice the soil dries out in a day (not only the top, but all the way through), you should consider adding more organic material to the soil.
