Use contrast

When you are decorating, keep in mind that contrast is the thing that you need. It will make the decor stand out. So, how to implement it? By using contrast I mean that you need to use different items. For example, you can play with colors, shapes and textures. If you have a smooth sofa, you can decorate with fluffy and furry pillows. Go for the opposite. If you have a matte coffee table, a vase with shiny finish will be perfect for it.
